COVID 19 Information
Due to COVID 19, Galax City Visitor’s Center will be operating on an alternate schedule. We will be open for visitors Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-4:00pm. Masks will be required for admittance. If you can not wear a mask, we will be glad to schedule a phone conference with you. We will be making phone conferences between the hours of 9am-12:00pm. Chestnut Creek School Of The Arts
Chestnut Creek School of Arts (CCSA) preserves and promotes the cultural heritage of southwest Virginia by fostering artistic and individual growth with classes and events for all ages and skill levels in traditional music, heritage crafts and contemporary arts.
Classes are tailored to suit area residents within an easy driving distance as well as regional and national visitors vacationing in the area of travelling specifically for CCSA programming.
The main building on Main Street includes a gift shop featuring items made by local artists as well as galleries with rotating exhibits. The school also includes Pottery and Woodworking Studios, both on Oldtown Street.
