Red Hill General Store is a small family business situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Hillsville, VA. Red Hill began in 1998 and was known to the online community as the bucket, pecan nut cracker, kerosene heater wick, backpack sprayer, and pressure cooker gasket supplier.

The Red Hill mission is to treat employees as well as customers with the same respect and service given to family. Old fashioned American common sense partnered with social responsibility are the cornerstones of business operations. Offering quality products to customers is a top priority and Red Hill General Store does not sell seconds or damaged products.

The first retail location of Red Hill General Store opened in November 2009. The store stocks most products provided online while working to build a more sustainable company. The store carries as many local products as possible while other products are known for their quality and practicality for everyday living. To offset the company’s carbon footprint Red Hill General Store invested in a 5.5 kilowatt wind turbine which provides power to a local farm.

In March 2011 the second retail store opened in Raleigh, NC with the same objectives as the first. Red Hill in Raleigh sells fresh heirloom produce to customers right off the vine from their productive traffic islands turned into gardens.
